Tri-County Telephone Association Donates Video Equipment to Area Schools
Council Grove, KS – Tri-County Telephone Association recently donated video production and editing equipment to seven area schools as well as training for each schools media class teachers. The equipment and training are worth in excess of $12,500 per school.


“Tri-County Telephone is committed to providing advanced communication services to the communities we serve,” said Tri-County Telephone Association C.E.O. Dale Jones. “This equipment will allow our area schools to expand the educational opportunities for lots of student, in video and broadcast journalism, graphic design, editing and production.” Tri-County will also dedicate air time for the schools to broadcast their work, such as sporting events, community activities, parades, school events or educational pieces on their community channel.


Tri-County recently began converting their cable TV customers in Council Grove to their new, all digital TCT TV, which is carried over their fiber and copper based telephone network. Tri-County will begin offering TCT TV digital services to all of its telephone customers in 2009.


Tri-County is committed to developing broadband services that will retain and attract businesses to the area while at the same time encouraging students to become involved with technologies that will enhance their educational ventures.
